Remembering John F. Goodson
It is with great sadness that BSRP announces the loss of former-staff member, colleague and friend, John F. Goodson. John was born on July 13, 1953, and passed away peacefully with his sister and BSRP co-founder, Shannon Goodson, by his side on February 22, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.
John worked for BSRP for more than 20 years and we remember him fondly. He had a wicked sense of humor, a great memory and often shared stories about BSRP’s humble beginnings. To many people, he was the friendly voice answering the phone. As a colleague, he made work fun. He had an eye for detail - whether for the BSRP parties, the remodeling of our building, or his great personal style, John always made everything look wonderful.
He was incredible at “just-in-time” inventory management, although he claimed it cost him most of his hair. John was a passionate advocate for our licensees, ensuring their challenges were addressed by executive management. This passion led to many product and process improvements over the years, many of which are still in place today.
John had a gift for making people feel comfortable around him. He never met a stranger, could talk to anyone about anything and was full of laughter. He adored his Bichon, Chandler, and he loved to travel.
Our little corner of the world is a little less bright without John in it. Rest in peace John Boy. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation. For more information and to leave condolences Click here.
